Government’s drive to diversify the economy should embrace enhanced agricultural production, the University of Zambia’s (UNZA) Vice Chancellor Professor Luke Lumba has said.
Speaking at the overseas seminar on agriculture production techniques at China -aid Zambia Agricultural centre in Lusaka, Professor Lumba said promotion of agriculture technology and science are key to sustainable agriculture development.
The Professor further said economic diversification is in line with the targets set in the Seven National Development Plan and the Vision 2030.
Meanwhile Stanly Kaoma, Director of Livestock applauded the China -aid extension officers on agricultural production techniques.
Kaoma urged participates who successfully completed the training to apply the knowledge and experience learned for the country to achieve its vision 2030.
