Various stakeholders in the Northern Province have appealed to government with regards to increasing the number of beneficiaries from the Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) funds.
The CEEC-Northern province Coordinator Mr. Kacha Mutenda has revealed that Zambia Aquaculture Enterprise Development Project under the CEEC will be rolled out to three districts namely Kasama, Mungwi and Mpulungu Districts.
Mutenda added that CEEC is providing 84,000 Kwacha non-collateral business loans to people who want to venture in any aquaculture enterprise.
Meanwhile, Mercy Mulenga a farmer has since advised that government needs to consider increasing the number of districts from the three stated as expansion of the project can assist in boosting the fishing industry in the province at large.
