The Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Hidenobu Sobashima says that Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will continue to support Zambia in the key areas of infrastructure, health, education and Agriculture so as to boost economic development.
Mr. Sobashima said this during this year 24th Zambia JICA fellowship Association annual general meeting held in Lusaka today.
Speaking at the same occasion Higher Education Minister Professor Nkandu Luo, who was represented by Mr. Muzano Simumba Director Technical Education, says Government recognises and appreciate Japan’s support to Zambia.
Mr. Simumba further acknowledged that the government values the support and assistance Japan continue to render by supplementing Government efforts to foster economic growth and development.
And Zambia JICA fellowship Association chairperson Dr Joseph Mulenga says there is need to add value to the available resources that Zambia has, especially in the agriculture sector.
