As part of efforts to improve rural livelihoods, increase production, promote climate-smart agriculture among smallholder farmers a fourth revolution solutions webinar has been lined up for next month.

The African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP), in partnership with the 4R Solution project, Solutions from the Land (SfL), and Fertilizer Canada will be hosting a webinar on adapting 4R Solutions in parts of Africa and the world

The virtual event to be held under the theme: ‘Applying lessons from 4R Solutions in a time of uncertainty’, will be hosted on the Zoom virtual platform slated for next month.

According to the organisers, the objective of the webinar is to share the emerging successes in Ethiopia, Ghana, and Senegal through the 4R Solutions initiative and explore how the guiding principles can be adapted elsewhere in Africa and the world.

The project will focus on making progress at a time of global challenges and disruptions in access to fertilizers.

The 4R Solution project is a Global Affairs Canada funded project being implemented in Ethiopia, Ghana and Senegal in partnership with Fertilizer Canada, CDF Canada and African Plant Nutrition Institute.

The project’s aim is to show how adopting more sustainable farming practices can increase resilience, incomes, and food security, and reduce poverty for 80,000 smallholder farmers, particularly women.
